​David Gerrold

David Gerrold is an award-winning science fiction and fantasy writer best known for his work on Star Trek, Babylon 5, Land of the Lost, and The Twilight Zone. He is the creator of the iconic Sleestaks and a creative influence on Star Trek: The Next Generation.
​
His novels include When HARLIE Was One, the War Against the Chtorr series, and The Martial Child, which won the Hugo, Nebula, and Locus Awards. Gerrold is also a respected teacher of the craft, authoring Worlds of Wonder: How to Write Science Fiction & Fantasy, and is the recipient of the 2022 Robert A. Heinlein Award.

Tana Ford

Tana Ford is an award-winning artist and writer, winner of both the Hugo Award and Eisner Award for her science-fiction graphic novel LaGuardia (written by Nnedi Okorafor). A professional comics creator, Tana has worked extensively in both independent and mainstream publishing, with credits including Marvel Comics, Star Trek, Spider-Man, Silk, and the creation of the Marvel Black Panther character UZARU.

Her latest all-ages graphic novel, The Space Cat, was just released by Macmillan, and will be available at the Expo alongside her comics, graphic novels, original art, prints, and stickers. Fans can also join in on the interactive fun at her table, where Tana runs a game offering chances to win free prints and stickers.

In addition to signing and tabling, Tana is available for panels and discussions on a wide range of topics, including indie comics and self-publishing, working as an illustrator in mainstream comics, visual storytelling, and pop culture favorites such as Star Trek, Jem and the Holograms, and animated films like Into the Spider-Verse.

​​HR Farrington Art & Illustration

Heather Farrington is an independent cartoonist, comic artist, and illustrator whose work blends fun, expressive character design with vibrant storytelling. She creates comics, illustrations, and art books, and her portfolio includes distinctive visual pieces and webcomic content.

At the Expo, Heather will be selling her artwork, comics, prints, and other illustrated goods, engaging with fans, and sharing insights into her creative process as an independent creator. Her style reflects a playful yet polished approach to visual storytelling, and she’s active online with a portfolio and shop dedicated to her art.

​​Keith Champagne

A 1994 graduate of the Joe Kubert School of Cartoon and Graphic Art, Keith began his professional career as a comic book inker while still in school. Over the years, he has built an impressive portfolio both as a writer and an artist/inker.

As a writer, Keith has contributed to titles including JSA, Green Lantern Corps, and World War III. As an artist/inker, his work has appeared on many fan-favorite comics, most notably JSA, Firestorm, Superboy, and Stranger Things.

Fans will have the opportunity to meet Keith, explore his work, and hear insights from his career in the comic book industry.

​Leanna Renee Hieber

Leanna is an award-winning author, actress, and licensed ghost-tour guide whose work delves into Gothic fantasy, the paranormal, and the magic of ghost stories. She is the author of 13 novels for Tor and Kensington Books, including the bestselling Strangely Beautiful saga, The Spectral City series, and The Eterna Files.

A four-time Prism Award winner and Daphne du Maurier Award finalist, Leanna also tours nationally with her acclaimed one-woman theatrical production, By the Light of Tiffany. Based in NYC, she leads historic ghost tours for Boroughs of the Dead and has appeared on Boardwalk Empire and Mysteries at the Museum, blending storytelling, history, and the supernatural into unforgettable experiences.

Vermont Comic Creators is a statewide comic arts organization and vibrant community of over 100 Vermont-based creators, dedicated to making, promoting, and supporting comics in all their forms. Whether you’re an experienced professional or just starting out, VCC welcomes anyone who creates—or dreams of creating--comics, graphic novels, and 2D sequential art.

From superhero and manga to experimental, DIY, political, autobiographical, and beyond, VCC celebrates all styles, skill levels, and creative approaches. The organization fosters collaboration, mentorship, and connection among Vermont’s comic artists, helping creators grow their craft while building a strong, inclusive artistic community.
