Founded in 1967, NESFA is one of the oldest and most respected science fiction organizations in the United States. The organization is dedicated to the appreciation, preservation, and promotion of speculative fiction through publishing, archiving, and community engagement. NESFA is also known for its long-running conventions and its role in supporting both established and emerging voices in science fiction and fantasy.

​Nesting Doll Press

Shea of Nesting Doll Press is a lifelong devotee of folklore whose writing blends myth, Eastern philosophy, and her clinical background to explore themes of resilience, transformation, and the power of the feminine spirit.

She is the author of Young Yaga and the Thrice-Nine Kingdoms: Tears of the Alkonost, a debut novel that draws readers into a richly imagined world inspired by traditional folklore and the mysteries of the natural landscape.

Based in Maine, Shea lives and writes surrounded by the wild woods that continue to inspire her storytelling.

​Robert Waldo Brunelle Jr.

Robert Waldo Brunelle Jr. is a celebrated artist, cartoonist, and illustrator, best known for his digital political cartoon strip, Mr. Brunelle Explains It All. His work combines sharp wit, keen observation, and distinctive artistic style to entertain and provoke thought.

At the Expo, Robert will be showcasing his art, meeting fans, and sharing his creative insights into cartooning, illustration, and digital media. Visitors will have the opportunity to explore his unique blend of humor, social commentary, and visual storytelling.

Vermont Comic Creators

Vermont Comic Creators is a statewide comic arts organization and vibrant community of over 100 Vermont-based creators, dedicated to making, promoting, and supporting comics in all their forms. Whether you’re an experienced professional or just starting out, VCC welcomes anyone who creates—or dreams of creating--comics, graphic novels, and 2D sequential art.

From superhero and manga to experimental, DIY, political, autobiographical, and beyond, VCC celebrates all styles, skill levels, and creative approaches. The organization fosters collaboration, mentorship, and connection among Vermont’s comic artists, helping creators grow their craft while building a strong, inclusive artistic community.

​Blair D. Shedd

Blair D. Shedd is a critically acclaimed artist and illustrator working under oneGemini Studios, with a career spanning both major franchises and independent comics. His work includes contributions to well-known properties such as Doctor Who, Rick and Morty, Robotech, and Ghostbusters, showcasing a dynamic style and strong visual storytelling across genres.

Alongside his professional work, Blair is an independent creator dedicated to developing original stories. At the Expo, he will be promoting his upcoming graphic novel, The Worlds Between Us, a horror/fantasy project set in the Green Mountains of Vermont that blends atmospheric storytelling with striking artwork.

Based in Vermont, Blair has built a strong regional following and continues to create work that bridges mainstream comics and creator-owned storytelling.
