The 2022 Vermont Living History Expo will be joined a number of reenactment groups including the Vermont Archaeological Society, the Vermont Historical Society, the Brotherhood of the Arrow & Sword, the 26th Yankee Division, Fort Tribute, Hanaford's Fife & Drum Corp, Legion III Cyrenaica, The Blues & The Greys of Montreal and many more!
26th Yankee Division
WWII U.S. Army Reenactment Group based out of New England. This unit “Keeps the memory alive” and educates the general public in the history, activities, military bearing, equipment and uniforms of the Soldiers they portray. Vermont Archaeological Society (VAS)
Formed in 1968, VAS is a volunteer organization comprised of professional and avocational archaeologists and the interested public. The Society is committed to raising the awareness of Vermont’s past, while also protecting its valuable cultural resources from injury and exploitation. |
Legion III Cyrenaica
A Roman Legion living history group with a focus on the Legion when it was in Roman-Egypt in the 1st century. Their members come from 'all walks of life' and share a common interest in everything Roman and Ancient History, Ancient Egypt, Greece, Rome, etc. Vermont Historical Society
Engages both Vermonters and "Vermonters at heart" in the exploration of our state's rich heritage. Their purpose is to reach a broad audience through their outstanding collections, statewide outreach, and dynamic programming. They believe that an understanding of the past changes lives and builds better communities. |
Hanafords Volunteer Fife and Drum Corps
Their goal is to keep the spirit of colonial music alive and have fun doing it! "Keeping History Alive in Vermont Since 1975." The Fort at No. 4
Travel back in time to Plantation Number 4, once the northwestern-most village within the British colonies. Our reconstruction of the village grounds is dedicated to bringing the history of the Upper Valley of the Connecticut River to life through engaging reenactments, educational activities, and one-of-a-kind historical experiences. |
The Brotherhood of the Arrow and Sword
The Brotherhood is dedicated to the presentation and practice of medieval history and Historical European Martial Arts. Come see their amazing presentations and military encampment that portrays life as it was on the march and on the battlefield during the medieval era. |
Straumfjordr
A reenactment group from Exeter, New Hampshire who are dedicated to the study, implementation, and demonstration Viking age life. From combat to cooking, they cover it all. |
The Grays and Blues of Montreal
A non-profit "Living History" association who strives to preserve the memory of more than 40,000 Canadian (British North America) citizens who volunteered to serve in the Army or in the Navy, of either Federal USA (North) or Confederate CSA (South). Included were over 10,000 volunteers from Canada East (Quebec), all who fought and many died during the American Civil War (1861-1865). Dedicated to the exploration and recreation of the daily life of soldiers and civilians from that period. |
