As the premier gaming community in the galaxy, the Outer Rim Sabacc League brings together players of all skill levels, from novice gamblers to seasoned veterans. |
Bill Diamond
Puppeteer & Puppet Fabricator Bill Diamond is an American puppeteer, puppet fabricator, and producer. He worked for Jim Henson at his New York office, and has won three Emmy Awards for his work on the YES Network. In 1976, Diamond created his production company, Bill Diamond Productions. Diamond produced and directed multiple television series in the 80’s and 90’s including, Stuffy’s Place, The Land of the Moonshins, and Dr. Rock’s Dinosaur Adventures, which appeared on Fox. He was also the associate producer of the documentaries, The Phantom of the Opera: Unmasking the Masterpiece, and The Aurora Monsters: The Model Craze That Gripped the World. Diamond still works out of his studio in Cornwall on the Hudson in New York where he produces shows, commercials and entertains with his lively artwork at places like the Vermont Sci-Fi and Fantasy Expo in Vermont in April! |
Montreal X-Men
Mutant Charity Cosplayers The Montreal X-MEN Charity Cosplay Group is a Canadian based nonprofit organization whose major goal is to entertain crowds while raising awareness and funds for worthy local causes. For their 2nd appearance at the Vermont Sci-Fi & Fantasy Expo, they will be again supporting the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention - Vermont Chapter (AFSP-VT). So, on the weekend of April 27th and 28th, come down and meet the Montreal-X-MEN, bub! |
802 Ghostbusters
Cosplayers Who ya gonna call?! Ghostbusters! Come see Slimer, Dr. Peter Venkman, Egon Spengler, Dana Barrett, and the famous Ghostbusters Jeep, the ECTO-JK1 at the Vermont Sci-Fi & Fantasy Expo! The 802 Ghostbusters is a fan-group of cosplayers based in Rutland, Vermont. This group is for fans and members alike, and support ALL ghostbusters from 1984 to 2016, to Afterlife, comics and movies, and all ghostbusters to come. |

At the expo this weekend, Jeff Homan & Ben Bartlett of Still Toking Enterprises will share their comic book series - an educational experience of medicinal cannabis and it's unique effects using zombies as the test subjects. |

Comics Do you like to make comics (whatever that means to you)? Do you live or have you lived in Vermont (or a very good neighbor to VT)? This is your comic creator community! Vermont Comic Creators is a statewide comic arts organization - a coalition of over 100 Vermont-based comic creators - who want to help you make comics too! Make or learn to make comics, graphic novels, and other 2D sequential art. Biographical, political mainstream, DIY, experimental, traditional, cartoon strip, superhero, funny, manga, western, bad, good, rough, punk, cut paper, collage or thumbprints- production art, model sheets character designs, practice for drawing, inking coloring lettering skills - all sequential or single panel comics and cartooning is welcome. |

Actress, author and ghost-tour guide Delight in first-hand paranormal experiences and discuss the lasting power of ghost stories on our collective consciousness with Leanna Renne Hieber. Leanna Renee Hieber is an actress, playwright and the author of thirteen Gothic, Gaslamp Fantasy novels for adults and teens for Tor and Kensington Books such as the Strangely Beautiful saga, the Magic Most Foul trilogy, the Eterna Files trilogy and The Spectral City series. The Strangely Beautiful series hit Barnes & Noble and Borders Bestseller lists and garnered numerous regional genre awards, with revised editions of the complete series now available from Tor. The Spectral City has been a bestseller across several genres and digital platforms. A four-time Prism Award winner and Daphne du Maurier Award finalist, her short fiction has appeared in numerous anthologies and her books have been translated into many languages. Keith Champagne
Artist Meet the world’s 14th most handsome comic book creator - Keith Champagne - at the Vermont Sci-Fi and Fantasy Expo! Champagne is a 1994 graduate of the Joe Kubert School of Cartoon and Graphic Art. He began working professionally as a comic book inker during his second year at the Kubert School. Titles he has contributed to (as writer) include: JSA, Green Lantern Corps, and World War III.[1] As an artist/inker, his work has appeared in many titles, most notably JSA, Firestorm, and Superboy. |
